I tried it today and sure enough, PATS programming popped up and programmed my new keys easy, did have one hiccup where pats reported success but counter didn't increase. checked the counter and it did in fact increase. new keys work great.

What was that procedure?
From whom did you repurchase the PCM?
yes.

They provided the instruction with the pcm. I think it was a series of insert, turn on/off, remove key, etc.

I purchased it via eBay from a company called ‘your part source inc’. Their support was great. I asked a lot of questions pre purchase, and their were no surprises or gotchas after purchase. No affiliation, just satisfied customer.

Any chance you still have those exact instructions?

I suspect that, as part of their updating software, that they either deleted PATS so they can sell the modules as "Plug and Play" or that their software is otherwise non-standard from what/how Ford's parts would be handled so that a scan tool (or Forscan) is not needed for security access.

no, but you could reach out to them and ask. They definitely did not disable pats. Keys without chips will not work. And, pats keys with chips that have not been programmed will also not work. Also, pats keys with incompatible bit frequency (may be wrong terminology) will also not work.

Also, once you have added the first two keys, you can’t add more without having those two working keys to add additional keys.
