Default Programming Keys with only 1 original

I recently purchased a 04 F150 it came with 1 key and no remotes. So I order some new remote's and 2 blank keys, then I realized you need 2 originals to program them yourself. And $85 Bucks to get a key programmed seems dumb I'd much rather spend 300-400 on a programmer to disable pats all together. What's the best route to go and can a edge programmer do this by default or do I also need to take to to a shop to get a custom tune?

If you are going to buy your own key programmer and only use it maybe once for $90, why not just bite the bullet and pay the dealer the $85?

my 06 only cam with one key. I went to WalMart and they read they read the key and and programmed and cut a new one for about $50. I was also able to program new remotes without a working one after one fell apart and the other went through the washer.

Buying from China? Beware!!! Your package can get stuck in customs, and can cost you a bunch to pay the fees. Beware of any seller from China that states they ship and "lie" about the package; get caught and pay a hefty fine to customs as well.
