Default Programmer help or hurt low pressure

Hey I am thinking about getting a programmer. I had my oil pressure checked before I did timing and phaseres and I was at 19 pounds at hot idol. I was told I have about a year left on the engine. The pressure wasn't checked after the work(could it have chained?). I am thinking about getting a programmer I was wondering if this would help me buy some time in the engine

Sadly, no.

This is an engine in which abundant, reliable oil pressure is crucial to proper performance and longevity. Adding extra stress via tuning is contraindicated if extending it's golden years is the goal.

Damn, your mechanic has a crystal ball....is their name Dionne? If your engine is indeed "going bad", then just do the phasers and timing components now if you plan on keeping it. Why wait?
