Default Locking or LS Differential

I'm running a 2006 F150 with 38" tires and a supercharger. Switching from the stock 3:73 gears to a 4:56 in two weeks. Trying to decide if I should stick with the limited slip that is stock or going with a locker or truetrac.

Mostly highway and in town with some snow, ice and sand conditions but never any real aggressive off road stuff.

I have the extra $ for this but don't want to put something in I will regret. My main concern is how the rear axle will respond if I do want to get aggressive after a few beers and lay some rubber down. If you all were doing this mod which direction would you go? Thanks

I think the Truetrac would be your best choice. Any clutch type posi is going to wear out over time and /or start chattering. The 9.75 Ford is noted for its short and unhappy clutch life. A Detroit Locker is a good unit from a performance standpoint and very positive ( maybe too positive for ice) but noisy in operation. The truetrac has no sacrificial clutches and very good/quiet street manners yet still does a good job of sending torque down both axles when you put the power to it. I recently regeared to 4.56 and put one in the rear. My only regret is not doing the front as well.
