I've got Diablo and a Superchips i need to sell. I like them both. Had the Superchips originally and when I bought the blower the guy tossed in the Diablo. For the custom tune with the blower I am using SCT cause thats what the dyno shop could tune.

Its a gasjob. Previously had a chipped 7.3. That made a diff. No chip is going to turn it into a hotrod. Bought to try for gas mileage and to try and get rid of the stupid throttle lag these trucks have. It picks up a little better. Its also handy to change the speedo for the bigger tires. And ive run mine for a while and a friend has his for a few years and neither have tranny problems.

check out what i wrote on the "best programmer" thread. I have an edge evolution in my 5.4 and love it!! Also check out off road magazines article and thoughts on it at their website. (i believe you get what you pay for, and the $400.00 plug and play is honest for the money, is quality, and will pay for itself over time in various ways) just my opinion though.

i also have the edge evo, and love it. unlike almost all other programmers the edge stays on your dash and looks pretty cool, and you can make it match the factory green dash lights. and therefore you can monitor anywhere from 1 to 4 different engine variables as you drive. i would imagine its just as effective as anyother programmer as far as performance wise, if you'd rather keep your dash clean.

Yea, you just leave it on the dash, it comes with a plastic mounting thing to hold it. You don't HAVE to leave it on all the time to keep the programming, but why wouldn't you have it on there? It has 20 or so parameters it can display in real-time (4 at a time)and the display color is adjustable (red, green, blue)

Default edge evo

How do you tell which are the best custom options to set for your truck? Such as idle, shift points, etc?

I know there are general options you can choose, but I didn't know if anyone had more info on the specifics.

Thanks,

the person who writes your custom tunes for you should take care of all that all the reputable tuners know their stuff and should set you up right

I have a 2010 FX4 crew cab with 5.4. Just recently changed tire sizes from the stock 275/55-20 to a 305/55-20. What would be a good proggrammer to help the fuel milage?
