Default Programer inspection question

This is the first vehicle I have had a programmer in that I had long enought to get it inspected do I have to reset my truck back to stock before I take it or can he just unplug it when I get there to hook his computer

I didn't set mine back to stock. However, I did have to unplug it and drive 40-50 miles because I had cleared a code that morning and the emissions test showed that. (Just looked like the battery was unhooked recently) - Drove 42 miles, pulled up with programmer unplugged, passed in 5 minutes.

If its an Edge programmer...it don't need to be plugged in...

the inspection only checks for any "codes" stored on the pcm

Just un-plug the programmer and it will remain where it was programed..
