Yeah, i'm pretty sure it was the module. Here it is fresh off my truck haha.

Me too! Thanks for everyone's help. my truck seems to run fine. Lets just hope it was only this and it continues to run good.

I will now be getting a spare module to keep in my truck because of this. Thank you for posting pics. This one really hit home.

I ordered one a few days ago for the same reason. After reading how they go and leave u stranded, for 60 bucks it's worth replacing!

And looks like it's harder to yank the spare than replace the module.

Just install the new one now. Its easy. Two bolts. My truck runs great now.


@BISCUT i lowered my spare and just pushed it out of the way, but yeah more work to lower and raise the spare then to actually change the module.

Instead of starting a new thread here is another question. When i turn my truck off and open my door, my stereo stays on.....anyone know what this could be? a fuse?
