Default Power windows

Hello, I have a 2005 F150 FX4 and my power windows just stopped working without warning. I replaced the master control module on the driver side and they still won't work. I am getting a clicking sound when I try to roll the driver window down and if I try any other door from that master control module it just turns on the light to my rear defrost. I'm at a loss at what it could be. Any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Broken wires in the driver's door jamb most likely. Other places to check are corroded grounds behind the luck panels and splices.in the wiring in the channels in the door jamb area on the floor above the rocker panels.

Thank You. I will definitely check the wires out.

I checked the wiring inside the jamb and under the interior rocker cover and couldn't find any breaks. Now that it is dark I noticed when I try to roll a window down the interior dome light comes on and if i hold down on the window button the dome light fades out until I release the down button. This is so weird.

Try jiggleing the wires in the door jamb? It's possible to break wires inside the plastic sheathing without the sheathing breaking wiggling them around while holding the button down do anything?
Sounds odd for sure. Lights coming on when unrelated buttons pushed is usually either shorted wires or as mentioned before sometimes when bad grounds the current tried to find another path to ground like through a bulb..

You may want to check the accessory delay relay and fuse 401 this relates to both the lights and the radio I believe.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply, I am very appreciative. I will try to look at the 401 in the morning, I checked some fuses and noticed a rusted almost burnt look on 18 through 22 I believe.

I never owned an F150 from the 2004-2008 era, but I recall several friends that did during that timeframe, had issues with the front windows. But I think theirs was track or regulator-related, and at the time, these were common, known issues.

Default Fixed.

Thank you to everyone who took time to reply to my thread. I found the problem and it is fixed now. It was a broken ground wire inside the rubber boot protector in the door jamb. I am very appreciative of everyone who had advice. Thank you!
