Default power steering pump removal

2004 F150 5.4 3 valve
having a difficult time get a wrench on the lower bolt to back off power steering pump from block
the high-pressure fitting is blocking my attempts
open end 10mm isn't working, would like to get a gear wrench on it to back it off
any suggestions on this issue?

Not really other than whatever you can get on it that fits enough without damaging it. I assume you've already removed the fan and shroud...?

I replaced mine like 6 years ago so my memory on it is a little fuzzy.
If you don't figure it out, I'll crawl under the truck after work and see if I can jog my memory

wow thanks, I don't get stymied to often, this is a tough one. there is a good youtube video on removing the pump and he gets a ratchet 10mm wrench on it with top two bolt out and backs it off the block, mine doesn't fit
thanks

Funny story. I had to do it twice.
First time at my house, went fine.
Second time, the day after install, my steering got hard on the way to work. Shaft came out of the "new" pump and it dropped. Lot's of loud noise and pulled over to the side. Changed it on the side of the road that evening. Gave the parts store hell because they were trying to refuse taking the pump back. Eventually got a replacement and it's been fine ever since. I want to say I ended up using a stubby wrench and going at it a little at a time.

Did you by chance remove the pulley?

I removed mine. It did help. You'll just need to rent a remover.
Does your new pump come with one already pressed on?
