Default Power Steering Pump Delema

When I bought my truck the power steering pump was noisy and the truck was hard to steer when things got warm.
On Sunday I changed the pump.
When I opened the package there were several types of seals for connecting the high pressure hoes to the pump.
All of them looked to small to do the job.
I contacted ford and confirmed what seal to use and hooked it all back up.
Noise and hard steering problem solved but the fricken thing leaked at the hose connection.
So I took it apart far enough to get to the hose connection (not fun at all hot outside this time of the year in Missouri) and replaced the seal again.
The fricken thing STILL LEAKS! Not as bad this time perhaps 3-4 drops when I park but this is going to drive me crazy.
Anyone out there ever have this problem before?
Any suggestions?

Are you sure the fittings are tight?

Where did you buy your pump? I have the same problem. Does your truck have a real cooler on the system or just a plane tube?

Autozone, may be part of the problem but this area of the pump shouldn't have been affected by the rebuilding process.
I did inspect the top of the female thread prior to assembly and all looked good.
The fitting started really easily so no chance of cross threading.
There is a cooler on the system but it is on the return side.
Damn thing is so hard to get to with the pulley on it, I would blame it on the design but there are thousands of them out there that way, still could be better though.

Thank you for the reply. My truck has a tube that they call a cooler but the fluid runs hotter than the radiator guess that is why at 37000 the pump is bad. I am going to get a real cooler and a new pump. Hope you get the leak fixed. If it looks like it is from the fitting check the pump case you could have a crack in the case.
