spray the area down with some diluted Simple Green and rinse off, that should clean any existing fluid off the engine/pump/rack, then run it turning the wheel back and forth to see if you can find the leak.

If it isn't obvious in a few minutes, the next step would be a dye kit and a black light. The dye is harmless, but when it leaks out with the PS fluid, it will illuminate when hit with a black light.

I have read where the pumps are leaking, mine has a small leak some where. But what i was looking at is when i start my truck the reservoir bubbles is that normal? it dosent bubble out and im not sure if bubble is the right word it kind of gargles in the reservoir. the truck feels kinda loose in the front end like its not responsive? i was also wondering if the factory would cover this under warranty since i have a leveling kit and oversize tires.

Ok this is what I am dealing with now: When I go to speed up the truck wines like its supper charged! I talked to a friend at work and he said that is common for a ford and just use a power steering stabalizer and it will make the winning stop. Well it didn't work!! Any one know if this was true, and what do i do next? HELP

I have just started having issues with my steering. I'm not sure if its because I bent something in the arms when I wrecked my bumper, or because of all the cold.
With the TSB, does that mean Ford will take care of it and I won't pay anything? My warrenty was only up to 36,000 and that passed a while ago...

Every TSB says this:

IMPORTANT : Warranty coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part.

My good friend's 96 f150 has a bad leak from an indeterminate area. It whines like a baby when its been leaking but once its refilled its nice and quiet again. Any idea where its coming from? Any popular leak areas with these?

So now I'm pretty certain my p.s. pump and hoses need replaced. Can I get the parts and do this at home? Or should I let a shop do it instead? I'm a little hesitant because I don't want to screw up priming the pump...
