I've read those consumer reports... It's all in who you want to believe I reckon. Don't let them scare you away though. People are fast to complain but yet slow (or almost never for that matter) to compliment. Especially when it doesn't go the way they think it should.

Just do your research. Have a reputable shop check it out if you're not confident in your own abilities and make your decisions based on that.

you need to read the ripoffreport one I posted and go from the bottom up... the owner actually looks like a pretty stand-up guy and I'd probably buy from him

I've read them all. Most of these claims the owner/shop requested small info that any normal business would require, such as the heat tabs on the overheated Dodge motor. That dude in ripoff report sat on his core for over a year before deciding to do anything about it. And by doing something about it, he files a complaint before even trying to contact the company. Another BBB claim the guy said the motor sat up for almost 2 years before installing it, then he wants to be upset when it's out of warranty. Warranty goes off date of purchase, not when it's installed. The vehicle owner even acknowledged his warranty was expired lol!

If I were the OP, I would likely buy this truck if everything else checked out fine with it.

Well it's between this 07 with the rebuilt motor and no warranty as it turns out, vs 2008 Same setup, lower miles and 1 owner with all maintenance records. So... I'm going with the 08 I believe
