I live in canada and there's no rust underneath my truck.
rustproofing every year is the key.

pwdercaoting will destroy balljoint and bushing.

even paint, POR15 pastidipped and powdercoating can rust over.

if it's for looks: wirebrush it and shoot a coat or 2 of spray bomb your choice of color onec every year or 2.
POR15 will not rust over. It's better than anything else, certainly MUCH better than any rattle can paint.

Everything from ReadyLift, Total Chaos Fabrication and Icon Vehicle Dynamics is extremely expensive and overkill for the average vehicle. Unless it's a vehicle that sees rough terrain 60% of the time or more it simply isn't worth the price. Quality replacement parts are available for fair prices and our vehicles are relatively easy to work on.

I have never seen POR15 fail or corrosion come through metal treated with POR15. That stuff is incredible!

yeah sure por15 will last longer..but continu dreaming that it will NEVER rust.

With all the salt, sand, and gravel they put on the road here: suspension part are almost sandblasted all winter long.

My mom have a 98 and I even can see some end of the 80's car still daily drive: and never you will change a control arm because of the rust on them...the bushings and ball joint gonna go way before!...and nowaday...bushing come with the control arm, you just can't find them by themselves.

I'm willing to bet you've never seen or used POR15.

I've been to Quebec, lovely province and Montreal has the most attractive women in all of Canada. When I retire I will live in Quebec City.

Regardless, I know the corrosion issues that vehicles face when they're from Quebec. But I have never seen POR15 fail. And I've seen metal parts that have been treated with POR15 exposed to the elements and years later they still look good.

Gotta watch Crashed Ice in person before I die!
