If you do epoxy make sure you don't get it on the retaining clip that holds the bulb. I accidentally epoxied that and realized when it was too late... When I had to change bulbs things got interesting... I had to bend the clip to wiggle the bulb out. Lol
I though the epoxy or jb weld was only used where the mini h1 touches the bucket. Am I wrong?

I used it on the back side to epoxy the washer and nut to the reflector bowl on the backside. You could do it on the front though. Just depends on preference really. Front side you've gotta be more careful since if it runs at all you're doomed. Lol

Okay I will go that route then. My other question is about the dust shield. Do I need any extra silicone or sealant on the inner ring where it meets the bucket?

Oh okay that makes sense. I've never put projectors in anything and didn't know there were bolts other than the big nut on the back.

Depending on what projectors you use there may or may not be bolts. OEM Projectors or some other aftermarket projectors don't have the big mounting nut on the back they only can be mounted with bolts. Also alot of times with bigger projectors you have to cut out the back of the housings to get them to fit so you can't use a big nut.

Off topic but you made led headlights right?

The dust cover being the black boot? I did on one of mine that I cut too much. There's two rings on the back, the taller one needs to be there so the boot adequately seals off still.

No they're actually led headlights with high and low beams. I used 4 ss screws that run through the back of the housing into the actual led headlights.

Yep the black boot. I guess it will make more sense when I get my new pair of headlights.
