Default Please Help with Wheels/Tires!

I am currently in the process of trading my car in for an 04 f150, 4 door, fx4, metallic grey. Finally! and i am trying to figure out what will give it that perfect look. i am thinking 2" or 2.5" level kit, black wheels, and probably 35" tires, but i want them to stick out enough to have that mean stance. i am trying to figure out what tires and wheels i should get with the leveling kit. any tips or pictures would be great! thanks!

I have the 35 12.5 r18 w/ Nitto Mud Grapplers. Additionally take a look into the fabtech Stage 1 lift kit, it's higher then the 2.5" but you get that mean look you are talking about.
Check your tire clearance if you are going to run 35" tires on a 2.5" lift you will probably rub, (not positive as I have not done it myself, but with my old truck I had to have the bigger lift for the 35's). Silverliftedford.

35's will be ok on a 2.5 leveling kit and a rear add a leaf... Some folks get buy on a front leveling it, but I would add a leaf in the rear... You wanna stay close to factory backspacing of the wheel at 5.5...

Read the "sticky" about wheel and tire fitment at the top of this forums page. It will provide you with the maximum size tires/rims you can use for a raised and/or stock Ford truck (2004 to 2008).

Welcome aboard.

remember when going to those bigger tires your gas mileage is going to drop a considerable amount. I put 305/70/17 (34") on my truck and lost 5.3 mpg, gained about 2 mpg back with a hypertech programmer and K&N air filter. So, just something you might want to consider because I get frustrated with getting only 12-12.5 mpg. Like I said, just something to consider with the price of gas and our great economy.
