I tried black magic and a few minutes later.... fml..... it revealed the chrome edges, liquefied a few spots and left some runs in the job overall. I should have just not tried to shine it up without the "glossifier" that they sell online. Disheartened at the moment lol.

I just plasti-dipped my wheels and it doesn't look too bad. Fairly easy with minimal prep. Let me know what you think.

Thanks...I really liked the stock wheels but I wanted a different look and it turned out good. I know there are mixed feelings on here about using it, but for my taste, I am happy. Besides, if I change my mind later, all I am out is a lot of elbow grease to remove it.

Anyone know if plasti dip is a good idea for older wheels? 99 f150 xlt stock wheels not in the best of shape. Would this be a bad idea? Would it hide the imperfections?
