I decided to get some mdf wood and liquid nail it to the cab and then screw the amp into that..I'd rather not screw into the metal if I don't have to

I agree with you 100% on that. Definitely don't want to be punching holes in my truck. Did you do this already, or is this what you plan on doing? Just wondering. I haven't taken my back seat out yet, so I don't know how much room is back there and if there is enough room to put the wood and an amp.

i have a SCAB and i just installed my amp yesterday.. i put it on the back wall as well.. i took that whole carpet out and saw that the back wall has 2 layers of metal, one is about 3" behind the first sheet. so i figured it wouldn't hurt when i drill in the first layer. i put it on the passenger side and used rubber washers between the amp and the metal at the top, and the bottom had some more spce between, so i used 1/4 MDF wood and mounted the bottom to that. i tried to make the amp as close to the wall as i could so it wouldn't hit the seat. everything worked out good.

hope this helps

be careful on the width though, i tried putting my amp on a 3/4 mdf piece and it rubbed the seat enough for it not to lock back down.. here's my finished product!

Got it to fit using 5/8 mdf wood and liquid nailed it to the metal and screwed the amp in..fits perfect and didn't have to cut a hole in my truck
