Pissed... Cracked Windshield
I cracked my windshield replacing the terrible stock windshield wipers with some bosch icons... after working at getting the stock wipers off for about 15 minutes (they had become one with the arm for being on there for 3-4 years) they finally came off with just the metal arm now. I somehow accidentally made the spring pop back making the arm smash on the windshield (very angry) I went to a glass doctor to get it fixed... Crack too big.. Needs replacement. How much has anybody paid for a replacement plus labor?

If you tell your insurance agent that some debri "Flew" into the windshield most of the big companies replace it without a deductable. you have to make sure you say FLEW not that they would think that it rolled onto the windshield but I wish you the best, my rear windo shattered one day, to this day I have no idea how it happened but I paid 270 after installation.( i upgraded to a slide window instead of a solid one.)
Depending on your state you may be covered anyways... Florida, windshield damage is a 'no fault' coverage, a friend slung a bat across the yard into his windshield, they covered it with no deductable- no questions asked.

I used to work in the glass claims industry, taking claims for most of the top Insurance companies (Progressive, Allstate, Farmers, Travelers, USAA etc.). What people are stating is partially correct. In some states, it is required for the Ins. company to replace the windslield for free (FL, MA, KY, SC). Some of the insurance companies offer free glass as an add on to your policy, this is common in states that have alot of pitting due to sand etc (AZ, TX).
If you contact a company such as Safelite glass, they will take your claim and inform you of any deductible.
