Ehh it can, I would say its almost a non issue.. I've seen what it does with the exhaust exiting in front of the tires but that's much closer to the exhaust then a boat would be. Still I suppose every little bit counts.

I don't see why it would interfere with towing.

I have duals straight out the back. They exit on each side of the spare tire.
They extend a little past the bumper and I've never had a problem.

No carbon build-up on the bumper, no issues towing a trailer, hell I've never even gashed my leg walking too close.

Oh the issue wouldn't be with them getting in the way, that's silly, I think the potential issue would be with exhaust blowing straight into the object being towed (the hull of a boat, the front of a camper). Probably minimal but like eh why shoot exhaust straight at your babies if you dont have to. Also I could imagine it being quite obnoxious having exhaust blow in your face while your are hitching or unhitching a trailer or making adjustments.

Not that it would interfere with the actual towing, just that depending on how far it stuck out and how you hitch up you could burn yourself or dunk it in water if you boat. Other factors are spare tire, what the exhaust is blowing onto; I just like to think about all the possibilities.

You could get your exhaust exiting to the side of the bumpers instead of out back. Both look good either way you go.

This is how I had my exhaust on my 1970 F100. I like that look.

Mine are angle exit like Lucho, no towing interference. My right side hanger snaps a lot though. lol

I love the way Lucho has his. That's how mine will be (may even spice it up with dual tips on each side.... might look a bit douchy with dual dualtips but I'm curious how it will look lol

I must be getting old. I used to run dual exhaust on my trucks, but now I just like the look of a SI/SO exhaust. This is the MBRP Xp series, $400, and installed in my driveway in under an hour.

I'm not really understanding the whole towing thing. It's not like you have 4ft. flames shooting out the back of your truck. The exhaust disperses when it exits, and doesn't hurt a thing. It will be much louder, having a camper or enclosed trailer behind you.

As for duals going in to the drink when launching a boat, the stock location goes under as well.
