Default PIE Problem

I just installed an XM5-FRD04 in my 2007 screw. When I press the AUX button on the radio it goes to AUX, the XM (inno) radio works, then the display reads CRYSTL-LINE for a few seconds before returning to FM. I can press the AUX button a couple of times and get it to DVD, but the XM radio plays for a few seconds before getting "DVD ERROR" and then returning to FM.

Does it have to have constant power, or is hooking it up to the "RUN/ACCESS" on the radio OK?

Any ideas?

Is this what your talking about? http://www.ancoauto.com/oscommerce/p...roducts_id=136

Note: Not compatible if satellite radio, external CD changer, or rear seat entertainment (RSE) are present.

Looking at the application guide it also says it's not compatible if satellite radio is present. I bet the dvd may also present a problem. You may want to give Tech support a call 800-330-9754

There is no satellite or DVD hooked up. I'm trying to hook up a Pioneer INNO.

I dunno, sorry. Maybe the XM5-FRD04 and the Pioneer INNO aren't compatible. Give Tech support a call and good luck with it.

I spoke with tech support at PIE a little while ago. Apparently there was a change with the '07 radios. What this means is that the XM5-FRD04 requires an upgraded chip. It sounds like this may affect the FRD04-AUX as well. Anyway, they are sending a new chip out today, and said it should take 2-3 days to arrive. I'll keep you posted.
