Default Pic Request

Hi all! I am getting ready to start my own retrofit and would like to see some 04-08 F150 heads utilizing the Gatling Gun Shrouds. There are so many shroud options however, for the build I am going for, I believe the GG shroud will work best. I plan on using the Morimoto Mini H1 6.0 Projector with XB35 6000K HIDs. I don't want to give out too many details until I get them built. Any pics you can supply and any install tips would be greatly appreciated!

Not exactly what you were looking for but here is mine it uses evo x-r projectors with g37 shrouds.. Hardest part is taking your lenses apart. Good 3+ hour job for sure. Use your oven at about 190 degrees works good. Gently pry until you've got it apart takes a lot of patience. You may even want to pick up a set f ebay housings to avoid some permaseal headache. Other than that a mini h1 kit is about as simple as you can get with a retro.. I like the idea behind them, seems to work well.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I've had bad experiences with eBay housings in the past and I was lucky enough to score some OEM heads for roughly the same price. I think I've decided against the Gatling gun shrouds. They just look so small compared to some of the other options.

Not too sure what will fit the mini h1s but I've always thought the mini graphites look pretty good

I was looking at the Apollo 3.0 shrouds. TRS has 10-15 shroud options listed for the MH1 kit.

Apollo 3.0 with Mini H1 6.0 projectors, 5000k Morimoto bulbs, and white halos on the outside.
Keep in mind the picture of the beam was before I opened them up to rotate them a little more. They're perfect now.

Those look awesome! What kind of paint did you use on the shrouds? High temp?

Nope. just used regular black paint for the housings and shrouds and bought PTM silver for the shrouds as well. I didn't clear any of it either. A local dealer/installer for TRS does the same thing.
Been almost 3 weeks since and haven't noticed any issues with the paint.
