I bought my 06 X4 back in February, only "mod" I did was put on 285/55/20 BFG All Terrain T/A KO's on. Today Im putting on a K&N FIPK, no real reason to put it on besides my paper filter is dirty dirty.

Only have 1 question, do I need to tune my truck? Probably not since there is no air sensor between the filter and TB right?

 

What do you mean by TUNE your truck...

 

SCT, Edge, Diablow, Sniper etc.

The reason I ask is because I know more about the mustang aftermarket than the F series aftermarket. Seeing as how the 05+ mustangs almost need a tune after a CAI install, I was just wondering if its the same with the 5.4L.

 

There is a mass air flow sensor. Are you just installing a new filter? And know you don't need a tuner.

 

No I installed a whole intake. I never really checked this truck out before so I was used to the MAF being on the actually tube, not a slot style on the intake.

I like it so far, a little whistle under throttle. I might get a TB spacer so it whistles like my buddies 08.
