Question Performance Chips

I am wanting to get a performance chip. I have an 05 FX4 5.4L. I am looking at a simple plug in chip called an SLR chip $69 up to 50hp, 50 ft. lbs, and 3 to 6 mpg. Does anyone have this chip... any advice??? I am also looking into either a Diablo Sport Predator or an Edge Evolution programmer. Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't know, but "$69 up to 50hp, 50 ft. lbs, and 3 to 6 mpg"? I think everyone on this site would have it if it were true. People are happy that they Think they got 5hp out of a $300 intake. Like I said, I am no expert on the chip, but if it works, I will take 2!!!

It won't work. Let me just put it this way. If there AVERAGE price of a solid, reputable tuner with proven results is $250 to $300, and that's considering companies like SCT, Predator, Gryphon, ect.

You get what you pay for. Esp those "Performance chips" off ebay. Pure ripoff....

That is nothing but a resistor in a plastic box to trick your computer into thinking the temp of the incoming air is colder than it is. Stick with a reputable brand like SCT, Edge, Grypon, etc. I have never had any luck with the Jet chips. Waste of money in my opinion.
