Default Passenger door issue

I've been searching online for a problem in having with my passenger door. When the handle is pulled, the door is pushed open. Rather it has to be manually pushed while the handle is pulled out. Does anyone know how to fix this? I want to know of the problem(s) and possible fixes before I go popping off my door handle when I don't even know what I'm looking for.
Thanks I have a 2004 FX4 extended cab

Try some wd40 on the latch mechanism. May or may not work but its definitly worth a shot. Its fixed many a door lock/latch for me.

Im not fully understanding what you re issue is. You might want to check your hinges and see if they are loose.

Could be, but, usually the driver side hinge goes first as its used much more often. Pretty new truck to have hinge issues. Has the door taken any damage?
