Default Parts Interchangeability

Does anyone know what interior parts are interchangeable between the 04-08 models and the 09-up models?

I'd like to swap some parts (steering wheel, a/c vents, other trim pieces) from a newer model into my '08.

I tried starting a thread listing all the +09 parts that will fit on 04-08s but it fizzled out after one response. But here is what I got-1) Mirrors(tow or standard) 2) Fender Emblems 3) Wheels 4) Emblem cameras (front, Back) Back up will fit with some modification to the tailgate. Not sure about the front but I am pretty sure someone on here added one to the front. The new electric radiator fans take some massaging- I think I only read of one dude doing that on here. I know none of those are interior pieces but maybe this will spark some input for you.

I would absolutely KILL for an 09+ gauge cluster with that sexy 5" LCD screen in the middle of the gauges.

Probably need a new wiring harness for that.

That would be a slick swap if it can be done without hacking and slashing wires...the cluster from the 5.0 would seem like the best candidate.

I would love to swap my lariat center console out for the latest shifter, but I don't think it will have a polished look without integrating the radio and AC bezel. Because of the 2 rails that run up from the 09 center console...

I would swap out for a new style shifter in a heartbeat! That is the only thing I don't love in my truck. The other thing to add would be the OEM side bed steps.

Hoping this thread comes back to life;

I HATE the shifter in my FX4. It just looks out of place. If I knew that you could put an 09+ shifter in it, I'd be taking that console apart tonight. Has anyone out there done the legwork in finding out if it does, or has anyone actually done it?
