Not a permanent fix, but this is how I tested to find out that my parking brake wasn't releasing all the way when I first bought my truck. Dealer fixed it for free but I think they said the cost would have been like $200 or something due to some broken unvisible piece.

I agree with others here, almost certain its not the actual cluster

I've heard the same thing about the cluster. Starts off with the brake light coming on. You can Fonzy the dash to get it to go off, but apparently that only works for so long. Next the odometer display will go out.
I just lucked out, and bought a FX gauge cluster from a member on here, for a great price. Only downfall, is that I have to wait another 14k miles to put it in, to avoid going to the dealer to reset the mileage.
