Painted door handles

Default Painted door handles

Does anyone know if it is possible to paint the factory black door handles or where i can find some red door handles?

I know the FX2 for 2007-2008 has color keyed door handles. They can be in white, red, redfire, dk. grey, and black. The 2007 Harley Davidson F150 also has the handles in Dark Amethyst (purple).

I would just got a to a good body shop and have them paint them for you.

i was thinkin that too but do would they be able to make them smooth and glossy or would it just be like flat red like the black is?

They can make them smooth and glossy. Just make sure you tell them that so they will sand it down real good.

Since they are textured it is almost impossible to paint them and make them smooth and glossy, and if they put to much product on them they will peel.

Not really man, theres a process to it. Sand with several different grains of sandpaper and then high build primer and then bulldog adhesion promoter and a good couple coats of paint and they will look smoothe as hell..I painted some interior plastic pieces on my old dakota a while back and they look awesome. This is probably something you could do yourself if you wanted to take the time and save some $$$
