Default Painted badges

Well it was finally warm enough to put my painted badges on. One is starting to chip so I might have to take them off and redo them. Well see. Now waiting on the liquid latex to come in and attempt to try to cut out the "Ford" logo on the back and paint it red.

Hahaha, yeah I'm afraid I'm going to have to take them off and do them all over again. I sanded them and cleaned the crap out of them and they're chipping. Is there another paint I should use instead of Krylon?

i just used a can of plastic paint from walmart hahaha but the blue was duplicolor to match my truck and i haven't had any chipping. was it cold when you painted them? thats the only thing i can think of that would mess with the quality of the paint that quickly

Time and patience. I was able to get fishing line under it, worked it all the way around them carefully pried it off with a plastic paint scraper. I put towels around the paint scraper so it wouldnt knick the paint.

I painted my emblems black and chrome. I painted mine at 70 degrees and was told that if it was any colder the paint wouldn't be nearly as effective. I also added about 4-5 clear coats after spray painting the blue part black. Maybe warmer conditions would work out for ya?

Before the clear coat. Definitely not perfect. But no problems or chipping at all

how did you paint the letters red and how did you do that ford emblem black and chrome?
I've tried tapping both badges off but it was rediculously hard to do and I just couldn't do it lol
