Driving my truck on Friday and the check engine light came on, the code was P2106 throttle actuator control system-forced limited power. When the light came on the ABS light also came on with it and driving the truck it had no power. After I shut the truck off and started it back up it ran fine and i had my normal power so I cleared the check engine light figured maybe it was a glitch or something, but then it did it again over the weekend and same thing when the light came on i had no power, same code as on friday as i figured and once i started it back up it ran fine again. Did any one ever have there check engine light come on with this code before? Does anyone know what to do or check to fix it? Thanks in advance for anyones help.

 

Yup. I had a p2106 a couple months ago and got a new throttle body installed. No more codes now.

 

Where did you end up buying a throttle body from? if you got it online let me know where you got it and how much you payed if you dont mind. Found one online for $250 just looking real quick last night.

 

I'm away at school so I had no way of replacing it myself. I was lucky enough to have a great dad who paid for Ford to fix it near my school for right at $700. This included the diagnosis, PCM reflash, and oil change.
