Well... did a search and found this post. I have an 08 FX2 F150 which did something similar today. Crusing the access ramp and put a foot in it to get up to highway speed. Started getting a shudder... check engine light started flashing. All the guages read within limits. Turned OD off and then back on and the shudder went away as well as the flashing engine light. Ran fine the rest of the day.

Did anyone ever figure out what was going on? My father had an 08 Foose that did the same thing and ended up trading it in for an 09 Platinum. Dealer said it was throttle actuator, drove it after the fix and still had the same problem. They haven't been able to give a diagnosis yet either.

Any help would be appreciated. It's my daily driver so if there's something I could do now in order to prevent some kind of failure I would greatly appreciate it.

alright I have a 99F150 XLT 4.6L 4X4 automatic that has this shutter, when I an cruising 25 or faster and slowly start to increase my speed it will LAG bad so I push the gas down a little further and nothing a little further more more more then it will Rev way up and Haul *** and shift just fine. if I leave the Gas petal in that "dead Spot" than the whole truck starts to shake like crazy. any advice? I have the vin W 4.6L and have Replaced both Coil Packs. what else should I do? because it runs just fine with OD OFF.

2004 F150: I have the shudder in 4th (ODrive) at 45 mph light throttle.
I also have it in 3rd (after locking it in 3rd) under similar speed/condition?

Your thoughts on could it still be the coil packs??

I had this problem and the solution was to replace the COP insulators.

That is a very good video.

So...the actual rubber boots can be replaced without replacing the plugs OR the coil packs as a first trouble shooting procedure?

I went into a tranny shop by accident one time when I was in NY.

I will never go back to one again. EVER!

Update:
Rode around a bit today and under wide open full throttle, the check engine light comes on for a couple of minutes and then
goes out.....
