Default Outside air temp reading

Hey

before everyone starts giving a hard time...i did a search and cant find what i am looking for.

I replaced my outside temp sensor and its still showing the wrong temp on the dash. Do i have the unplug the battery to reset it or is there something else wrong?

Thanks

When I replaced my sensor it worked correctly right away. I would disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes then try it again. It won't hurt to try.

Depends on the year and model, but most of them are in front of the radiator/condenser assemblies, attached to a support, sometimes they are behind the front bumper.

X2 ^^ Mine gets the most accurate reading while moving, if I sit long enough I can watch the temp creep up because the sensor is located about an inch from the radiator.
