My truck has popped the P0053 code (HO2S Heater Resistance, Bank 1/Sensor 1). I replaced both of the pre-cat O2's about a year ago and had problems with the bank 1 sensor within 3 days. They were both Motorcraft. I replaced the bank 1 with a Bosch and have not had a code until today. I think I should test for a short, as I dont feel that the truck has run as it should for the past year code or no code. Looking for any help on how to test the voltage and such to determine if it is a bad sensor again or a harness problem. Any help would be appreciated.
