OPT7 LED Headlights
Got mine in yesterday and got them installed last night on my 2007 F150.
The good: Overall they are much brighter than the stock halogens. The light output and pattern are very similar to the factory LEDs on my 2015 F150. The light is white, no blue that I can see. No adjustment was needed to the headlights after install. These are superior to the stock bulbs and produce a pattern that will not blind oncoming traffic. Overall I think they are worth the money.
The bad: The high beam on one of my lights will not work. The lows work fine on both. I already contacted Opt-7 and they are going to send me a new light. I also installed the LED fog lights but I'm not impressed. Had to aim them down and the output is not even noticeable with the headlights turned on. Don't waste money on those.
Install pointers: You must remove the headlight housing to install these. The install is straight forward except for one detail. When putting the bulb in the housing there is a "L" and "R" to show you the correct orientation. When I twisted mine into the housing the bulb set at a 45 degree angle. I didn't know if this was correct but I left it that way and went to check my beam pattern on my garage door. It was horrible. Way too high with dark spots galore. I pulled them back out and found a small screw that when removed allowed the light to rotate inside the housing when installed. I removed this screw and reinstalled the lights where the bulb was at a 90 degree angle just like the factory halogen. Checked the pattern again and it was perfect. The cut off is not as sharp as HIDs in a projector but it's pretty good. They were aimed exactly like the stock halogens with no adjustment needed.
Let me know if you have any questions.
