Hey guys, I was just browsing some trucks and found out I really like the white trucks. However they are the only truck I'd ever think about going with a small chrome theme...I always like the black themes.
So here it is.. White with chrome or white with black?

I am going through the chrome removal process on my truck right now. I HATE chrome more than anything. The only place for chrome is a trailer hitch ball or a harley. My XLT is white and had chrome bumpers, which I juss plasti-dipped black. Going to either do the same with the chrome grille or replace it with a factory black one. The side steps are going to be the same, painted black or replaced. I can live with the chrome "F-150" emblems but thats about it. Thankfully my door handles and such were already black. This picture was taken just before I started with the bumpers and such. Shows the white/chrome look which isnt bad, I just hate the chrome.

 

You see I'm in the same boat, I hate chrome on 90% of the trucks...However I think that on a white truck, black bumpers make the truck look cheap. I think that White on White makes it look real nice and White with chrome bumpers is atleast better then black... I'm not saying all around chrome just bumpers and maybe some Semi Chrome Offroad wheels

 

Yea I hate chrome on these newer truck especially the stick on chrome! Only trucks that look with chrome are classics IMO...

 

Finished with my plasti-dip today, It looks weird with black bumpers and a chrome grille now. I have a black grille I will install tomorrow and I might just post a poll to get some opinions on the new look. Worst case scenario, I can just peal off the plasti-dip and leave it as-is. I dont think what I have is too much but I at least want to see it the other way.

 

Personally, I like the chrome bumpers...However I havent seen a pic with the black bumpers so..Nothing to compare too

 

Ill be sure to post one tomorrow once it is complete. I hate even driving around like it is, lol.

 

IMHO I like white with white bumpers, actually prefer a gunmetal wheel or even black chrome wheel. I think what would be nice is to be able to get black chrome step bars and maybe they do make them and I just havent seen them. of course then window tint.

Yes there is. It is more commonly referred to as "shadow chrome" where I am from.
