Default OEM fender flares

Just got a question for you guys. What, if any, are the differences between 04-08 FX4 flares and the 09-11 flares. Mine are faded and I've been looking for replacements but I havent seen any good factory takeoffs on ebay, but there are a few sellers that claim that the 09 and up flares will work on the 04-08 if thats true theres all kind of take offs to choose from. Well what do you guys think?

I'm looking for a set of King Ranch or painted fender flares, to paint to match the grey of the bumpers and rockers. It doesn't seem like you could painted the junk plastic ones and make them look right. I have no idea why automobiles manufacturers cheap out on that plastic. Looks like garbage.

Mine were faded too when I got my truck but I got some gloss black spray paint made for outside and plastic and started spraying. I put on a few coats and it looks great. It's been about 6 months so far and nothing wrong with them. I was the truck the same way too, no special care for the flares.
