Odometer LED backlight, replaceable?
My backlight for my odometer, compass, outside temp display is out. Well, until I smacked the top of the dash a few times now it's working again, but then it will go out and I have to smash the dash again.
So it's a loose connection somewhere. My question is is that backlight an actual LED replacement bulb back there(I can replace it?) or is the backlighting part of the actual display?
I just want to know where I should be looking for a loose connection. I know the instrument cluster has 2 large harnesses on top, I'll clean those and reseat. Just wanted to know if there is something else I should clean/check as well.

Cool.
Might as well replace all the bulbs with LED while I'm back there.
Anyone done this with a recommended set of LED's? There are tons out there, and some are crap and I don't want to be testing them just get a set that works good...

The odometer, turn signals, cruise, high beam and back lights are all replaceable. Some use #74 and some #37, I believe.
The brighter ones are for the backlights. You'll see the bulbs are bigger but the sockets are the same. Careful you don't go too bright in the odometer, high beam and cruise. I did the first time and it was blinding at night.
Warning indicators are soldered in leds.
