**** the bed! been like this for a while now. I attempted to do it myself but im not sure about it. so I took it to a mechanic. he said I need to change the whole cluster. then spoke of an immobilizer problem? anyway,hes going to take a better look at it today for me. I figured I could just change the piece,not the whole friggin thing! computer, digital bull****....

 

yep...very common problem and a PITA

 

Is it just the odometer display? I had mine fixed on Ebay for $80. The display worked fine for a couple months and then started blinking again. The person did offer a one year warranty so I am going so send it back closer to the end of the warranty. I had found someone local but they wanted $185 so I just lived with it until I found that people repair them on Ebay.

yes dnlow,its just the display. I thought I could just change that little piece,but the whole thing needs a changn. im gunna check ebay. its an 06 and I have 72k on it. I know this because when I changed the battery,it flickered for a sec and saw it displayed 72142 on it. I need to find one close or less in mi. Connecticut wont pass my emissions because of it. Its a bull**** law too. I passed all the air control stuff. so now im driving around with an unregistered truck because of a stupid ***n law that makes no sense!
