Saving is a always a good thing. Just don't spend it for Coils. They VERY seldom actually fail - but are far and wide the most money wasted thing on these engines. The only thing they are are TWO coils of wire of different size and length. What's going to fail. True a crack in the case can hold moisture or an internal winding can short out reducing efficiency, but 99.999999% of misfires are caused by other things.

Be careful with the cats if you live or move to an inspection state it won't pass .Me I'm in a non inspection state . I will hollow them out probably if an when .Whatever is chaep enough . I think you have to address it now since you have the codes it would explain your problem .

No problem as far as inspection goes. The truck had Accel coils on it when I got it. I’ve heard bad things about them.

This is not an issue, its the torque converter in lock when manually shifted to 1 or 2. I thought this was odd some time ago but,, with the edge tuner displaying which gear you are in , it also shows converter lock status. Someone with a tuner may be able to verify my theory. Drive in 2 ,look at the display and pop it into D, lock icon goes away and the RPMs jump up.

Really? That’s so weird. I’ve owned a lot of vehicles and this is the first time I’ve ran into this.

That FPDM is not looking good. I'd be changing that ASAP.

That is definitely a problem... whether it's specifically yours or not, I don't know.

Is your gear shifter "tough" to move? It should slip easily through the gear selections.

Easiest fix is to leave it in Drive and not "manually" shift it.

Shifter moves freely. The truck has low power under any load but you can really tell my manually shifting.
