Odd acceleration issue
Hey guys my name is Derrick I'm new to the forum. Recently bought a 2005 F-150 XLT with the 5.4l 3v Triton. I did a complete timing rebuild thanks to fordtechmakuloco for the tutorial. Genuine Ford parts through the entire timing process and spark plugs (I got super lucky and no sparkplugs broke) and ignition coils. I checked the VCT solenoids and they were pretty clean. Replace the oil pump with the melling 360 Hv Crank it up and all seemed pretty good. But now my issue is when I'm going down the road it kind of sputters after around 40 miles per hour unless I give it full throttle then it kind of bogs a little bit and then gets going again. driving on the highway is a little rough because it's hard to get it up to Pace with the traffic. It recently through the code p2198 and p0446 I believe. I'll check again on my lunch. Love the truck just got to get the little kinks fixed. Thanks in advance!!!
Also. I noticed that whenever I get in it to get it started in the morning I have to turn the key a couple times to let the truck prime because it won't start up on the first turn. I'm hoping it's not fuel pump issue. Also forgot to mention 2005 Ford F-150 XLT 4 x 4 the truck has 213,xxx not 100% sure about the motor because the stamps on it (valve cover) say that it's from 2006.

Well I think I may have traced it to the issue. I turned the key and watched the fuel pressure go up to almost 50psi and dropped down to like 3psi in about 3 secs. Anybody have a recommendation for fuel injectors besides these 05 ones because of the issue that I've been reading all day about them leaking. Again thanks.

Wow, that is wild, can you pinpoint which injector? Also, great find!
like turn the ignition on, and then pop the sparkpulgs out and see which one has a soaked cylinder?
I gotta imagine replacing a few injectors cant be that bad, did you have to take them off for the timing job? Could it be a bad seal where the injector connects to the rail?
