Default Not all plug changes end with broken plugs

Here's a success story for those wanting to change the spark plugs in their 5.4's. I have an 06 with 93000 km on it, yesterday I had a day off so i figured it was time to change the plugs. I had boughten the lisle tool months ago already, going by all the stories I kept hearing i would probably need it. Well I never even opened the case. lol All eight plugs came out like I had just put them in! I cracked them loose with a ratchet, then spun them out by hand using just the extension. They came out that easy! I did it with the engine at room temp in the garage, I haven't run sea foam or any other cleaner through it. I just decided today is the day, and got to it. They may have been changed before, I'm not sure as I'm not the first owner, but with the mileage the truck had when I bought it, I very highly doubt that they have been changed before.
So If your wanting to do your plugs, take heart! Not every plug change is a nightmare, the way it often sounds from all the stories you read and hear.

I have 76K miles and can't decide if its better to do the plugs now or wait til a little closer to 100K. I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared to do them ha! Hoping I will have the same result you did.

Run a PEA based cleaner and do them sooner than later. Ford has changed the recommended interval to 60k instead of 100k so you're already behind.

When I did mine I ran a quart of the Lucas fuel treatment in a full tank of gas, all 8 of mine came out no problem. I also used a small cordless impact as recommend by a senior for tech.

Could you link me to something that says they changed this? I haven't seen or been able to find anything?

I didn't break a single one either.i drove mine to get it hot then used a 3/8 impact to rap them right out. Install like you would a normal plug with a 3/8 hand ratchet. Took me about an hour and 15 min.
