Default Noise help

I'm trying to get as much input as I can before I take my next steps but here is my problem. First off I have an 06 SCab 4x4 with the 5.4. it has 71k on the odometer. While on a kayaking trip a couple months back I developed a "whine" when I turn my vehicle. It's specifically sounds worse on the drivers side. It doesnt make this sound at idle and almost never when driving straight. Speed is irrelevant it's just when I turn. I feel a slight pulse in the steering wheel when this happens as well. It doesnt sound like metal on metal and all my fluid levels are fine and my brakes are in good shape. I have flushed the p/s fluid and refilled with some Royal Purple synthetic ATF and added some lucas p/s fluid too. THis didn't really help at all and I have no leaks regarding that. The whine is a solid whine when i turn and not intermittent. Kinda high pitched and I cant really compare it to any sound but its a solid whine and it's high pitched. I have heard potentially idler arms/pulley? has anyone encountered this problem and if so what was your fix. You can guide me to a link on it and that would be great too. Thanks

I would think if it only does it when turning that maybe the power steering pump is going bad. I would also have thought that maybe there was air in the line, but you've changed all that.

Well I wanted an outside opinion and took it to a shop where they told me it was the p/s pump and another one told me it was idler arms. Guess I'm just gonna hafta take it to the dealer to find out for sure...which sucks

If its whining then more than likely the PS pump.
