Default Noise

Does any one have excess wind noise from the doors? It seems that either the doors don't close like they use to, or the weather stripping is going bad.

Oops. Mine is a 08 and sounds like I have roof racks on with only 40k miles. I drive a 010 at work with a ladder rack on the box and it is like mine use to be. Go figure.

Yes I have, the dealership says all good. They did keep it overnight once changed some parts under warranty, it did improve the issue considerably. They were very vague on what they changed do to the truck being out of warranty. They said it was part of the latching system. The th noise came back.

I have a lot of wind noise on my 06 FX4 Screw, plus the doors rattle a lot. 119,000 miles on it.

A lot of guys in my old job worked in areas out west that were INCREDIBLY dry and dusty. They would lock their trucks up for the day with the air off and windows up tight- and would come back to a film of dust on their dash and seats (these were 2007-2008 Toyota Tacomas and a few 04+ Fords or the record).

They went and got some very thin, quality weatherstripping (3m?) and opened front an rear doors, making a circle around the door jambs with it- just on the outside of the factory strip.

Not only did this cut out most of the dust, it made their trucks MUCH quieter.

For sure I would start with assessing my factory stripping if I were you, but may consider that as a supplement if it still bothers ya.
