Default No third gear,,, help!?

Today i was driving on the freeway,, at normal speeds 65mph,, suddendly i have to step on it to pass a semi,, and my truck just went to neutral,, i had to get out of the freeway and put it in park then back to drive,, i drove to the first exit and it seems the truck doesnt go into 3rd when it hits 35/40 mph,, it just neutralizes,, fluids are up to level and its not giving me any codes,, tranny fluid is clean no sings of broken pieces,, who knows what it might be,, by the way its a 05 4.6 4x4

Yeah dude I hate to say it but we just had to have one rebuilt for the same thing except it was on a Ford E350 Ambulance. Went ahead and put a shifter kit in it, and also a heavy duty Torque Converter. 1500 bucks later it runs like a champ.

Mine did the same thing just 1800 miles out of warranty. 61k. I was so mad.

Ended up needing a rebuild as 3rd gear was gone. Cost me $1600 before tax....
