Default No reverse!

Was workin this morning and had to tow equipment to a work sight and went back for the enclosed trailer. Well i was backin up to the trailer on some rough gravel and truck strained at little so i gave it a little more gases and beeps go off and "transmission failure". checked my programmer and it said output shaft speed sensor. Where to start. I still can drive it fine forward.

Just got back from aamco with a couple quotes. For a new heavy duty jasper and 3 year 100k mile warranty for $2800. For a complete rebuild with all heavy duty parts and bigger TC with a 3 year 50k mile warranty is $2300. Im torn abt which one i should do lol.

How many miles do you drive a year? Will you get over 50,000mi in 3 yrs? Thats just over 16,500 per year. $500 you get to keep... BUT...Is that the final price from Aamco? fees taxes and misc.parts will add up. 2300 doesn't seem too bad.

Aamco then? They use all the upgraded parts that are available when they do a rebuild. Just had a Civic done there last month..so far so good. Knock on wood...

That happened to me on christmas eve. Merry christmas to me. It ended up being a bad tranny. I went to certified transmission and it cost me $2,600 out the door for a remaned tranny and they went through the transfer case while it was out. I opted to get the 3 year 50,000 mile warranty over the standard 1 year 12,000. It was $300 more, to me that is a no brainer. My truck only has 68,000 miles on it.
