I’ve had my truck for maybe about a month, since I’ve had it it’s had no Ac or Heat blowing from the fans
i live on the east coast and it’s getting cold out
my reservoir is at the full line when cold or warm, and my trucks temperature stays at operating temperature when driving so I don’t suspect it’s the thermostat!
I just recently changed the blend door actuator because it made a slight noise but when installing the new one from Dorman it made no difference
I don’t suspect the heater core because I don’t smell any coolant in the cab nor does the reservoir go low on coolant, what could the cause of this be? A fuse? Or a resistor?
my only thoughts is to check the 2 heater hoses for warmth (hot).... They should be fairly close to the same hotness.... Your blend door controls the air flow over the heater core.. I suspect you are only drawing cold air from the ouside directly into the cab & not over the heater core.. (to warm up)

Reason: spelling
air definitely blows out in either mode from 1,2,3,4
it just doesn’t get warmer nor colder when selecting the temperature
And the blend door actuator works because you can hear it ever so slightly turn
The coolant is low or it has a blend door problem, possibly a plugged up heater core
Hearing the door move is good but the actuator nay be broken or the door could be jammed or warped
If you replaced the blend door actuator (good) (you can do that part)
Take it back off and manually move the blend door and see what you get for airflow (hot or cold)
Those heater cores do plug up (backflush with a garden hose)
Good luck
I never had any trouble testing the new or used ones I install by just plugging them in and seeing if they work
You do have to cycle the key if you want it to reset or reinitialize the actuators if you want
I just install them and do that after
A lot of times it is just the gears inside that fail and you can just disassemble another electrically bad one just for the gears
Your new part should have good gears and be good (for a while at least even if Dorman IMO)
Good luck on the possible blend door replacement on your truck
You will need the Ford procedure for instrument panel removal and HVAC case removal to do it right
Going to test out the actuator later today, and check on coolant level which already was good a couple days ago
I did not asked that to suggest it, the actuator has to be aligned correctly. As stated by the post above mine, the actuator is keyed so to speak to fit the blend door. I am currently working on my own for the Air inlet Recirc Door.
