If you merely checked battery with a multimeter, may as well not have even checked it. Batteries must be load tested to be sure.

Neutral safety switch can do this, though not sure with the clicking.

clicking heard.....classical answer is: dead battery or bad connections....
How old is the battery???? also when was Battery connections cleaned last...is there any corrosion around the terminals????

remedy: check & clean all connections even down @ the starter.....charge battery & load test....try starting again if battery good

Percussive maintenance helps temporarily fix a failing starter. Now, is it actually turning the engine over, or is the starter solenoid still clicking?
