Default New windsheild cracks....

I had a new windsheild installed in my f150 by safelite auto glass and everything look great and Ilet it sit in my garage overnight to cure the caulk. When I came out in the morning to leave I had a big crack in my new windsheild.I called them and they said sometimes they will ceack while the caulk dries. Their coming back free of charge to replace it again. Anyone here of this before???

No, I've had safelite replace a windshield for me before and it held up a lot better than the original did.

Installer error is a little different than a rock. I wouldn't live with it.

untrue about the windshield cracking when the urethane cures because it always stays flexible. The installer did something wrong but no biggy since Safelite is crazy good at honoring warranties.

I replace my windshield every couple years. It doesn't go against my insurance and even if it's not broken or chipped, I still do it.
I've done this with every vehicle I've owned.
I use giant glass and it's been perfect every time.
Might as well get something out of that money I spend every year.

What planet are you from? you think it doesn't effect your insurance? you must all ready be paying the max. I could see it if the glass is sand blasted or chipped but why would you replace a good window
