Default New tires 2.5in level

Hi all, so I have been stalking this site for a long while now and finally decided to join so I could gain some information. So I have a 2005 F150 Super Crew with a 2.5in Rough Country level and 18x9 Fuel Hostage rims with a -12 offset. I was curious what is the largest size that I could put with out any trimming. I know that 33s would fit but I was looking at tires such as 325/65r18, 305/70r18, and 295/70r18. I have no idea what would fit and was hoping that someone could help me out here. Oh if it is any help I am looking at Cooper STT Pro's, Nitto Trail Grapplers, Nitto Ridge Grappler's and Toyo Open Country RT's. Thank you in advance.

Skim through the "tire fitting" thread stickied at the top of the main page.

I have scoured that thread and haven't been able to truly find what I am looking for, so I was hoping that maybe someone could help me out if I posted it here.

I am running Nitto Terra Grappler 325/65 R18's on my 2005 with a 2.5" Rough Country Leveling kit. No scrubbing and rides fine. Probably gonna go with 325/60's on the next set just to free up some space in the fender well.

2WD or 4WD ? 325's will require lots of trimming due to your -19 off set wheel.

Mine is a 4x4. Yeah that is what I was afraid of. The guy at the shop said that some of them may fit others may not I would just have to try them on for size. I was hoping maybe someone had some personal experience.

If you are going to do any actual 4-wheeling, the 295/70-18 is going to be all you can fit without serious rubbing.

Thank you. Yeah I go wheeling every now and then but she is also my daily driver so I do not want to have to deal with too much rub.

I have a 2.5" level and run 285/75-18's which are the the same diameter but about 3/8" narrower. I have them on stock rims and get just an occasional touch in the rear inside corners of the fenderwell when at full turn and somewhat compressed.

You have to use wheels with specs close to the stock wheels for any chance not to rub running larger tires. A wheel with specs of 18.5 wide with 5.75 inches of backspacing would probably work. 18x9 with 4.75 or -12 offset would cause rubbing in the front even after trimming. I ran 17x9 wheels with 0 degree offset or 5 inches of backspacing with 315x70x17 tires and they rubbed in the front when making hard turns. I had to get 17x8 wheels with stock 5.5 inch backspacing to get them to clear. 2004 Lariat 4x4 leveled 2-1/2 inches

Picture with the slotted wheels rubbed...spoke wheels cleared perfectly in the front. Tires were the same 315x70x17 BFG TA/KO's...wheels specs play a big part in the tire size you can run.
