Default New here! Rim Question

Go ahead...say it...not again! Anyways, this is my first truck i have ever owned; 2006 F150 Super Crew XLT 4x4. I just need a final answer on this subject. Ive checked almost all discussion about the rims. 5.5" back space, 18mm off set(not sure positive or negative) but I just need a final answer as to all that. I want my tires to stick out past the side of my truck a bit but not to much. I just want it to look decent. If any one can give me a heads up on rim sizes i would appreciate it a bunch!

Rims im looking at are 20x9 XD Diesels Black ( some one told me they would have more that a 1" lip on them on my truck)

And Dick Cepeck Torque 20x9 Black

all with 35X12.50 or equivelent.
Thanks
Johnathan

Stock wheels are 7.5" wide so assuming the backspacing is 5.5" (same as stock) then the 9" wide wheel will stick out 1.5" past your fender. If you get different backspacing then that will effect how far the wheels stick out as well. Less backspacing than stock will cause the wheels to stick out further, more backspacing will tuck them under the wheel well more.

Is anyone running a negative off set on just a leveled 06' style f150? Guy at the tire place is telling me a negative offset will not fit my truck with it being leveld out. Says it needs to be 0mm or greater. Anyone?

i dont know about that. -6mm isnt that bad of an offset. it should work. if it doesnt just do some minor trimming and they will fit.
