The 4.6 plug change is "normal" at least no plugs that break off. As far as I am concerned the 4.6 is pretty trouble free and there isn't really any known big issues with it. Ford has been using it since the early 90's so by the time the 4.6 made it into our trucks, most of the issues had been resolved already.

I'm sure I'll have some questions in the near future.

Recently bought an '06 F-150 XLT Crew Cab with 140k on it. I'm putting together a big parts list for a good tune-up since I don't really know what the previous owner did.

I really like my truck so far. It does idle a little rough but I'm hoping plugs and PVC valve will deal with that.

Great forum.

Don't ever refer to your truck as "she" and you should do fine here

"she" just got a new pair of shoes. Big improvement.

Went from 255/65/17 to 265/70/17. No fitment issues and they fill the wells much better.
